The Covid-19 pandemic - Important note

In the light of government announcements with regard to Covid-19 corona virus pandemic, from March 2020, choir rehearsals and performances have been suspended. We hope to resume as soon as we can. Please refer back to this page for further news.

The choir in brief

The choir has Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass sections, and was originally formed in 1987 under the auspices of the University of Nottingham Adult Education Choir. See History. It currently consists of around 40 regular members. See Choir. We rehearse on Saturday mornings from September to April, and perform our work each year before Christmas and around Easter. We practice and perform a wide variety of music. See Concerts & Music.

Rehearsals and concerts are held at The Masonic Hall, Goldsmith Street, NG1 5LB. We perform for charity.

We are particularly keen to recruit new members, particularly men (tenors and basses). There are no auditions; the only qualification is that you enjoy singing. If you are interested, please contact us. See Members & Contact

We began rehearsing for the second term of our 2019/20 season on Saturday, 4th January 2020 but choir rehearsals were suspended on 17th March due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The last planned performance, the 2020 Spring Concert on Saturday April 25th, was subsequently cancelled.
